School in Kerala to reopen by staggering from November 1, CM said

Thiruvananthapuram: School, closed in Kerala for one and a half years after the Covid-19 outbreak, will be reopened from 1 November starting with grade 1 to 7, 10 and 12, said Chairman Kerala Pinarayi Vijayan said on Wednesday.
Speaking to reporters, the minister’s chairman said the remaining class will begin on November 15 and preparation to reopen the schools in full swing.
To ensure the protection and safety of children who attend classes, the ministers of health and education will hold a high-level meeting on Thursday and after that, the draft design of the action will be prepared and discussed with other departments before resolving, he said.
He further said that to eliminate concerns of students and parents, arrangements will be made at the state and district level in consultation with the associations of parents and other organizations.

He said the police had also associated to prepare plans to ensure student safety during their trip after school and college reopened.
He said traffic outside the educational institution would be arranged to ensure no parking of illegal vehicles or not right and no one would be allowed to gather in front of an unnecessary school.
School vehicles lying not used so far it will be repaired with the help of the police station and Sho will relate to institutions to ensure the same thing, he said.
In addition, Shos will provide special training to the driver and conductor of school vehicles on safety precautions to be followed when transporting children, he said.
They will be given training by police officers about maintaining social distance, the use of cleaners and the right way to wear a mask, he said.
Kerala on Wednesday reported 19,675 Covid-19 fresh cases and 142 deaths, which took Caseload to 45.59,628 and fatality to 24,039.
The number of people who recovered from infection since Tuesday was 19,702, which brought a total recovery to 43,73,966 and the number of active cases to 1.61,026, the official press release said.
