A teacher from the school assisted by a government near Udumalpet in Tirupur District was arrested on Saturday for asking for a class XII girl to send his naked pictures through Whatsapp.
The defendant, P Ashokkumar, 37, a Tamil teacher, was ordered below Section 11 (4) Read with 12 protection of children from the Act of sexual violation, Section 354 (b) (b) (d) of the Criminal Code and Section 67 of Information Technology Act.
On January 4, Childline received a call that the teacher had sent vulgar messages to class XII students through WhatsApp in July last year.
Immediately, Childline officials initiated an investigation and told the girl from the girl about the complaint.
When they found the Prima Facie evidence contrary to the teacher, they approached the parents to file a police complaint against the teacher, which they refused.
So, co-ordinator Tirupur Childline Kathirvel filed a complaint with the Al All-Women Udumalpet police on Saturday morning.
