Coimbatore: A unknown man robbed a school teacher game from gold ornaments weighing 10.5 Sovereigns at the Knifepoint at Chinnasamy Road on Thursday night.
City police have formed two special teams to arrest robbers.
The Kattoor police said that the man had approached the teacher, 38 years old, from Jalan VKK Menon in the city, at 3.05 a.m., looking for entrance tickets for his son to a private playing school.
“After collecting the cost structure of anbukary, he suddenly threatened it and helper in the knifepoint and made of gold mangalsutra, bracelets and rings.” Anbukaryas have submitted a complaint with the Kattoor police.
