School to reopen, curfew to be placed as a Covid dip

Guwahati: With a significant increase in the Covid scene at Assam, Minister of Chief Justice Himanta Buswa Sarma on Monday said he hoped the school would be reopened in the state of February 15.
In addition to research, the vaccination of children has also been affected because of the closure of a large number of elementary schools.
Offline classes until class VIII remained canceled in the state after the Covid case surged since mid-January.
Sarma also gives an indication that night time in the state will soon be relaxed and may start from 11 nights after two to three days.
“I think we will be able to open school from February 15,” Sarma said.
He said regardless of the closing of a large number of schools because of the third wave, around nine doses of the lakh vaccine can be given among students (15 to 18 years) to date.
“It becomes easier to provide a vaccine dose if the school is open.
However, we will advance with our plan to complete the second administration of doses (for children) on February 28,” he added.
Sarma said the state government was monitoring the Covid situation and the daily case number was close to 2,000.
When and when the appropriate number touches 1,000, he said the night will be relaxed.
For this decline, Sarma said it might take two more than three more days.
Consider the surge in Covid cases recently, the curfew time was filed to 10pm.
Even because of the iPositivity of the Test (TPR) at Assam has floated between 6% and 7%, the daily case number fell to 2,294 on Saturday.
It dropped to 910 on Sunday but it was because less testing was done on Sundays.
Only 13,100 tests were carried out the previous day.
In Assam, more than inkositivity and daily cases, around 20 Covid fatalities reported every day in the past few days have been a greater concern.
Covid threats that survive, the teacher organization welcomed the decision to reopen the school.
“Students, especially from the basic level (up to grade 8), have become the worst patients because of the closure of the school campus.
Since 2020, they suffered a lot,” said Secretary General of Association (ASTTA) Assam State (ASTTA), Ratul Chandra Goswami.
He said the physical class for all must begin earlier, at least on alternative days.
