School to reopen for grade 9 to 12 from August 23, weekend curfews in the border district: carnataka cm

Bengaluru: The Karnataka government has decided to reopen the school for students from class 9 to 12 (II PUC) from August 23, said Minister of Bukavaraj Bommai on Friday.
After taking a stock of the Covid-19 situation in the state, he said that the government had decided to impose weekend wednesday in the district bordering Kerala and Maharashtra and nighttime hours in all states starting at 9pm.

Experts argue that a decision must be taken at the end of August when starting the primary and secondary classes until grade 8, after taking into account the possibility of the third wave and the intensity of Covid infection, he added.
The minister’s chairman said the new Covid-19 task unit consisting of ministers would be formed in a few days.
