Panaji: The state government on Sunday extended the closure of schools and universities until February 15, considering the increase in Covid-19 cases.
In accordance with the new Order issued by Revenue Secretary Sanjay Kumar, the school will be closed for students until February 15, but the teacher must go to school to do an online class.
The order also stated that colleges and other higher education institutions must be closed for students until February 15 except for conducting inspections.
Here too, the teacher must report to the Institute to do an online class.
Also, orders have stated that public meetings in the case of indoor halls, auditoriums, community spaces, mandates, open spaces, etc., will be limited to a maximum of 50% of the seating capacity or place, or in accordance with the limits imposed by the Election Commission, which one not enough.
The state also said that those who want to enter Goa must have a second dose vaccination certificate, and that 15 days must pass from the last dose.
Those who do not have this can still enter if they can produce a negative RT-PCR report from the test carried out no more than 72 hours before entering.
“Everyone who is contrary to this order must be punished under section 188 of the Indian criminal code and section 51 to 60 of the disaster management law, 2005,” Kumar said.
The cinema room, river cruises, water parks and amusement parks will not operate exceeding 50% of the seating capacity, orders listed.
Casinos can also operate only 50% of their capacity, depending on compliance with all Covid safety protocols, including the use of masks, sanitis, thermal screening.
