Surat: Police arrested a 19-year-old delivery man from the online shopping website and detained his colleague, a 17-year-old school student, on Tuesday for allegedly extorting Rs 50,000 from a class XII girl.
Dhruv Surti was accused of, a Jahangirpura, had begun to squeeze the 17-year-old girl with threatening to make her personal virus photo if she didn’t pay for money.
He began stealing cash from home and other places to pay for Surti.
The local court sent a surti to the police custody while minors were produced in the teen court.
Because of the test, the minor was given a guarantee.
The investigation revealed that Surti has developed online friendship with a complainant in 2019.
They often meet each other and the girl shares her personal photos with her.
Then, Surti began demanding money from the girl and at first she was paid.
“The girl began stealing money from home and other places to pay the defendant.
The little accusation of studying with the girl used to accept the money and handed it to Surti,” police said.
Depressed for harassment and extortion he left home but then found in the park, police said.
