Hyderabad: After a gap of almost one and a half years, schools and colleges are arranged to reopen in Telangana from September 1st Postgraduate (Kg to PG) and Angganwadi centers in the state since the beginning of September.
CM also directs medical and health officials, cities, Panchayat Raj and rural development officials to cleanse all educational institutions and hostels in the village, mandal, district, cities and state capital on August 30.
The Ministry of Education will come out with guidelines in a one or two days on school functions and also issue clarity whether the compulsory offline class or online class will continue, leaving the option to parents to receive the phone.
Because of the pandemic, educational institutions remained closed since March 2020.
Except for a brief reopening in February 2021, the institution was closed again in March this year after a surge in Covid-19 cases.
However, online classes are detained to ensure that the academic year is not lost.
CM made a decision at a review meeting after the medical and health department official filed a report that the pandemic was very controlled in the state.
“Given the various factors and after a detailed discussion at the meeting, the government has decided to reopen educational institutions from September 1 after taking steps for student safety,” CM said.
Zilla Parishad and Chair of the Mandal Parishad will examine educational institutions and submit reports on sanitation, said KCR.
At the meeting, CM said the education sector in the state was in lethargic because of the closure of the institution.
Apart from students and parents, the fate of private school teachers and affiliated institutions remain uncertain.
The actions taken by various state governments that reopened educational institutions were also discussed at the meeting.
Health officials showed the meeting because of the closure of a prolonged education institution, there was an increase in cases of psychological stress (mental) among students.
“It is the responsibility of the City Administration and the Department of Panchayat Raj to take sanitation in government schools.
Even Sarpana and the City Chair must ensure the cleaning and sanitization of water tanks, classrooms and bathrooms in government educational institutions,” KCR said.
A high-level meeting was attended by ministers, head of secretary, government adviser and senior officials from various departments.
