Schools, colleges, government offices to reopen from November 29

New Delhi: Given the “improvement” in air quality, the Delhi Government has decided to continue the physical class in schools, colleges and other educational institutions and reopen government offices from November 29, Minister of Environment Gopal Rai said on Wednesday.
Only CNG and electric vehicles, except those engaged in important services, will be allowed to enter Delhi starting November 27, said Minister after the meeting to review the water pollution to deal with air pollution.
The ban on the entry of vehicles operating on other fuels will remain until December 3, he said.
Rai urges government staff to use public transportation.
“We employ private CNG buses recently.
We have decided to use it to use ferry employees from government housing colonies such as Gulabi Bagh and Nimri Colony,” he said.
The government will also start a shuttle bus service from the Delhi Secretariat to the Ito and Indraprastha Metro Station for its employees.
“The air quality has improved for the past three days.
Aqi City is similar to pre-diwali days,” he said.
On November 13, the city government has ordered the closure of all educational institutions, prohibiting construction and demolition activities and asking their employees to work from home to fight air pollution and minimize their health effects.
On November 17, it has extended limits, in addition to prohibiting the entry of trucks carrying unimportant items in Delhi.
Prohibition of construction and demolition activities was appointed on Monday given the improvement of air quality and discomfort caused by workers.
