Lucknow: Given the surge in Covid-19 cases, the Government of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday ordered that all schools and colleges will remain closed until January 23, 2022.
On January 5, the Government of Uttar Pradesh has ordered to cover all government and private schools for students to grade 10 to January 16.
Some other countries also expanded school closure due to the increase in Covid-19 cases.

Telangana on Sunday was ordered to educational institutions to remain closed until January 30, 2022.
Likewise, schools and colleges at Madhya Pradesh will remain closed until January 31.
Schools in Bengaluru will remain closed until January 31 while schools in class 9 will remain closed for physical classes until January 21.
Previously on that day, Chairman of the Yogi Adityanath Minister also led a meeting to review the Covid situation.
He also checked the settings related to Covid-19 management at the Medical University of King George (KgMu), Lucknow.
Speaking to reporters, Yogi informd that the country has around 1.03 lakh active cases.
“Lucknow has reported 2,300 positive cases at this time, active cases stand at 16,300.
Less than 1 percent of patients were hospitalized,” he added.
“Vaccination drives have been very good so the third wave has not affected us as much as possible.
