Guwahati: Government and private schools with around 100 to 200 students will be converted into covid vaccination centers for children in Assam because the state health department prepares to vaccinate children between the ages of 15 and 18 years from January 3.
The department told me that in a meeting chaired by the Secretary of the Union Health, Rajesh Bhusan, with the state and the meeting that was chaired here by the Minister of Health of Keshab Mahanta on Tuesday, has been decided to use Covaxin to investigate children.
Dropout the school is likely to be taken to another vaccination center.
“Vaccination for children will be done wisely.
Even those who study in college aged 18 years or below will be borne in the drive,” the source told toi.

This adds that the Government Government has directed the state government to use Covaxin for students in the first phase.
“Direction will be issued to school immediately to prepare a list of students who are eligible for Jab.
The Ministry of Health and State Education will soon hold a joint meeting,” said a health department official.
He added that the initial plan was to make a vaccination center in each educational institution.
This, he said, was being done to avoid crowding.
“The main encouragement will visit all schools to vaccinate children.
Bringing students to school to other schools for vaccination can turn into risky business.
Infection can spread,” he added.
Assam has set the estimated target of analyzing 18.25 lakh kids even though it might need a few days before the vaccination drive gets momentum.
On January 3, it might be the first event.
The health department official said more than 13 doses of Lakh Covaxin were in stock in the state.
“Even though the available doses are mainly purchased for adult vaccination, most of it must now be transferred to vaccinating children.
Covaxin supply must also be added,” said the official.
Some schools temporarily included in detention in November after Covid infection was detected.
However, the Ministry of Education said considering about 75 Lakh registration in state education institutions, the number of infected cases could be ignored.
In particular, most Covid cases detected among school children were asymptomatic, said the Ministry of Education officials.
