Nagpur: Cipak and Civil School Schools for Class 1 to 7 will be reopened in the city of Nagpur from December 16, more than 20 months after they close for learning directly because of the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic, Civic’s body said on Wednesday.
After reviewing the Covid-19 situation in the city, Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has decided to open schools from class 1 to 7 within citizenship boundaries with compliance with all coronavirus-related guidelines needed, he said in the release.
Safe! You have managed to throw your votelogin to see the results to PTI, the NMC Education Officer Priti Mishrikotkar said that 1,053 private schools and 116 Civic-Run schools, with 2.49 lakh students, will be reopened on Thursday.
Schools have been directed towards maintaining social distance between students and making seating settings accordingly.
Only one student will be permitted on one bench.
All students will wear face masks and follow the protocol related to Covid-19, NMC said in the release.
Schools and other educational institutions were closed in March 2020 after the outbreak of pandemic and online classes began to students.
Previously, schools for primary and middle part students should be reopened in the first week of December, but the decision was postponed because of the emergence of the Omicron Coronavirus variant.
NMC has decided to postpone the opening of the school by looking at the Coronavirus situation.
