New Delhi: With a decrease in case trajectory in the city, schools in the national capital are reopened with strict anti-covid steps in place after months.
The Delhi government has allowed school opening with preventive Covid steps.
Schools in the state will be reopened for grade 9 to 12 by staggering.
New guidelines for schools including mandatory thermal filtration, staggered lunch breaks, alternative seating settings, 50 percent of seats per class, and compulsory quarantine room for students in the school building.
DuBey LK, Principal, Sarvoday Bal Vidyalay West Vinod Nagar, said, “We have called only 50 percent of students.
With the implementation of the right SOP, we have implemented a one-student formula one student to ensure total physical distance”.
Speaking with IANS, he said that all teachers were fully vaccinated and have ensured complete safety for students.
He said that we had cleared all classrooms and students would be permitted only after thermal screening.
Rishika, a student from 12th grade, said, “We are happy to join school again after a few months.
We followed Covid’s full behavior that was appropriate and did not want to be locked up again at home”.
Khushi from the same class said that he had enjoyed it out after 5 to 6 months.
“We are very excited to join schools that we ignore heavy rain to reach school.
With the right sanitation all the safety norms are being followed at school”, Khushi said happily.
Colleges and training institutions in the state are also allowed to reopen since Thursday.
While the class for standard 9 to 12 continued from Wednesday in Delhi, the class for 6 to 8 standards is scheduled to be continued from September 8.
However, the Delhi government has clarified that no students were forced by physically attending school.
Some schools in the capital also chose the ‘wait and watch’ strategy to see how the situation took place before they continued the class.

He said that Delhi reopened school from Wednesday for class 9-12 after almost 17 months in the middle of a strict safety protocol because of a pandemic.

Despite heavy rain, students have reached a school that shows their desires and excitement that they are waiting for the reopening of the school.
With a decrease in new Covid cases throughout the country, many state governments have allowed the reopening of schools from September 1 and so on.
Countries have ensured to take the right safety measures to reopen the school and will follow all SOPs.
