Schools opened back in Kerala: Guidelines in 5 days, said Public Education Minister V Sivankutty

Kottayam: Comprehensive guidelines on the reopening of the school will be issued within five days, said Public Education Minister V Sivankutty.
Speaking to reporters at Alappuzha on Friday, Sivankutty said that the government had gained guidelines.
The last guideline will be prepared after discussion with the Ministry of Health, LSGD and KSRTC.
He said that parents, as well as the community, could also produce suggestions.
All of this will be considered before completing the guidelines.
Only two students will be allowed at one table.
Class will be held until noon.
So during the day it will be avoided, and students will be given pocket money.
Restrictions will be worn on students going to restaurants and bakery at school.
Uniforms will not be mandatory.
Classrooms will be disinfected every day.
Small rooms and school places will be cleaned every day.
All of these activities will be carried out with the help of the Health Committee.
Soap and water for hand washing will be stored at the school entrance and in each classroom.
Body temperature students will be checked before entering the class, Sivankutty Siad.
Vaccination will be given to those connected to school, such as school bus drivers and chefs.
Students with Covid symptoms should not be sent to school.
Different students will be allowed to come to school only in the second phase.
The government also plans to provide KSRTC bus services for schools with higher student strength.
Only two students will be permitted to travel in the Autorickshaw.
The online class will continue even after schools reopened, Sivankutty said, adding that classes until noon and online classes in the afternoon will benefit students.
