Schools opened back in Maharashtra; The government hopes students will enjoy returning to the classroom

Mumbai: School continues a physical session for grade 1 to 12 in Maharashtra on Monday and the state government expresses hope that students will enjoy returning to their classrooms in a safe atmosphere.
Last week, the Maharashtra government allowed offline classes to continue from January 24 after the chairman of UDDHAV Thackeray approved a proposal for this effect sent to him by the Department of School Education.
Schools in all states were closed in the first week of January due to a surge in the case of the Koronavirus and after the emergence of an omicron variant was very contagious.
However, a number of parents, activists in the field and teachers strongly opposed the move to close the school, said it would affect students.
In Mumbai, the local civilian body had previously announced the closing of the school for grade 1 to 9 to January 31.

However, the assessment of BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) then showed that the cases of omicron infection did not increase, and said the curve was flat.
It has encouraged officials to propose reopening schools for physical presence.
On Monday morning, the Minister of School Education Maharashtra Varsha Gaikwad welcomed students and parents about the reopening of the physical class.
“Hopefully all the parents and students are the best as physical classes reopened today and so on.
We hope you enjoy your day back in a safe atmosphere.

In Mumbai too, various schools continued offline classes in the morning.
Last week, Commissioner BMC Iqbal Singh Chahal said that in-people or offline classes will continue at pre-primary schools too.
While allowing schools to continue their physical class, the state government has asked them to comply with the Covid-19 protocol and guidelines.
On Sunday, Maharashtra reported 40,805 Covid-19 cases, took the calculation to 75.07.225, while 44 deaths pushed the victim to 1,42,115, a previous health department official said.
There are no cases of omicrons detected in the state on Sunday, keeping the calculation of those affected by the new variant to 2,759, including 1,437 has been dismissed so far, the official said.
