Schools opened back: Rain, Covid Fear Hit Present

New Delhi: The day whipped the rain did not prevent Ayush Kumar from returning to school after 17 months on Wednesday.
When locking was stated in March last year, Kumar was in the middle of his final class VII exam.
His days in class VIII after promotions were spent noting on WhatsApp and talked to the teacher by telephone and through messaging.
When he was in the last class on the ground floor in high school at the boys in Ghitori, Kumar gladly answered the questions raised by Sanskrit teachers, even though at the time of his business was hampered by the mask he continued to wear.
Most of the government schools and several private schools open their gate for class IX students to XII on Wednesday.
Rain seems to have achieved attendance and not everyone reported returning to school but for those who did it, it was a difference welcomed from learning on the phone.
“I am very happy to be able to return to school and do not need to worry about the internet and about data,” said Kumar Toi.
Father, a security guard, has provided Kumar and his brother, who studied in class XI in the same school, with one Android phone for their studies.
“We used to refill the phone every three months and get access to 1.5GB of data every day,” said class IX students.
“The class on the zoom consumed more data, but my brother and I managed somehow.” Before his brother’s online class began, Kumar would quickly finish his worksheet sent on Whatsapp by his school.
Delhi’s school sent a worksheet like that on the phone to all nursery students to class VIII.
Those who do not have a smartphone must collect it from school.
Kuldeep Sharma’s father, a carpenter, left his phone to use his son.
“But I really like online classes,” Sharma said.
“I want to go back to school for a long time.
I lost my classroom and my friends.” Sunil Kumar Joon, English teacher at Ghitori school, expects more students to return to school next week.
In the senior Girls government in Ambedkar Nagar, the principal, Aruna Anand, said, “On Monday, there will be more clarity about how many students will return to school for offline classes.” But students who don’t return will not miss a lesson.
As Joon revealed, the teachers plan to get a tripod for their cellphones to allow them to transmit the class directly through zoom.
