Bengaluru: Schools opened back for grade 6 to 8 students in Karnataka on Monday, by following a strict Covid-19 protocol and standard operating procedure (SOP).
In accordance with the direction of the government, the school has been reopened in the mark where the covid-19 front level is below 2 percent.
Minister of Primary and Secondary Education B C Nagesh said that the government decided to reopen school after approval from the state technical advisory committee in Covid-19.
“The department has the intention to reopen schools for some time now and the teacher is also ready for it, but given the health of students along with education and concerns of parents, we discussed with the technical advisory committee and after taking the opinions of pediatric experts, we reopen the school for Class 6.7 and 8, “he told reporters.

The minister said, many parents and students urged him during a recent visit to several parts of the state to reopen the school.
He said the entire administration of machinery and district government has worked with the department for good class behavior.
It is mandatory for students to submit approval letters from their parents to attend offline classes and these classes are not mandatory, because there are online class provisions as well.
The government has said that the offline class for 6-8 grade students will be held on alternative days, each with a 50 percent presence, will be five days a week, and two days left (weekend) will be used to clean and steps Other Covid controls.
Responding to a question, the Minister said, seeing how the offline class will continue, the government after consultation with the technical advisory committee will make a decision about the reopening of the school for class 1 to 5, but does not determine whatever timeline.
The government has let the reopening of schools for students from grade 9 to 12 since August 23.
