Mumbai: The Maharashtra government said on Friday that it would reopen school from August 17.
The government will reopen the school for students from grade 5 to 8 in rural areas, while cities will see class 8 to 12 re-opened the Covid-19 protocol, the education minister Varsha Gaikwad said.
The Minister also said that the Committee will be formed for each region and it will decide whether to open school for various classes or not, report the news agency.
According to the news agency, the official said that parents of students from several districts had demanded the reopening of elementary school and they were from class V to VII in the middle of a drop in the case of Covid-19.
Last week, the Maharashtra government loosened the restrictions of Covid-19 in most districts except 11 districts where the level of Covid-19 is high.
