New Delhi: Scientists from India, Russia, Brazil and South Africa will collaborate in research that will help develop or reuse drugs against Covid-19.
According to an official statement on Monday, collaborative efforts involving experts from bioinformatics, organic chemistry, drug chemistry, drug screening and parasitologists will be high value for the search for new efficient drugs against Covid-19.
Consolidating efforts, knowledge, and experience of scientists and specialists from various regions will lead to optimization of health care systems and health care in BRICS countries, the science and technology departments say in the statement.
“Scientists from India, Russia, Brazil and South Africa will work together to reuse, validate, and synthesize the main compounds of the main proteases and RNA replicas, enzymes that catalyzes RNA replication,” he said.
The approach that can inhibit the maturation and deployment of the virus during infection in host cells can help produce new Covid-19 drugs with improved production methods.
The multi-stage blocking area targeted by SARS-COV-2 has emerged several months ago after announcing Covid-19 as a global emergency.
The multi-stage process involves replication, transcription, and maturation of virus genomes.
This is governed by enzyme protease and RNA replacase.
“Inhibiting this effect will be very important to resolve the dream of millions of people on this earth to develop / reset the drug molecule against Covid-19,” he said.
Scientists will also carry out biochemical tests, including the main compound cytotoxicity to the main proteases and RNA depends on the RNA polymerase SARS-COV-2, and validates the target of tin compounds through simulating molecular dynamics and biochemical methods, he added.
While efforts have been made selectively inhibiting one target of the SARS-COV-2 enzyme, an effective potential inhibitor of the replication and maturation of the SARS-COV-2 engine has not been found.
The Department of Science and Technology will support this study that brings many expertise from several countries BRICS to present solutions to the Covid-19 crisis that the current world.
