New Delhi: A group of astronomers, including from India, have seen a very short and strong high-energy radiation explosion which lasts about a second and has competed to the earth for almost half the days of the universe.
Details of the discovery of the rare phenomenon, published in the journal Nature Astronomy on Monday, will help scientists understand many unknown facts about far galaxies and the possibility of the Galaxy Milky Way.
The explosion, which was detected by the Gamma Space Telescope Fermi Nasa last year, turned out to be one for a notebook – the shortest blast (GRB) caused by a large star death, said the Department of Science & Technology (DST) in the notes of discovery and involvement Indian astronomers.
GRB is one of the most intelligent and most energetic events in the universe, can be detected through billions of light years.
GRB, which occurs due to a blast of a star, produces as much energy as the sun produced during its entire existence.
Asked about the implication if the GRB took place near the earth, Indian scientist Shashi Bhushan Pandey from the Institute of Observation of Aryabhatta DST (Aries) said, “If, at all, such astronomical events occur in the Bima Bimas Galaxy, not only the earth but all solar systems will Destroyed.
“Pandey, one of Indian scientists in the Astronomer team saw a short GRB event from dying of stars, told TOI that the discovery and identification of such astronomical events would always help the world understand the mystery behind the Extinct History of the Planet in the past (ending 450 million years ago).
Astronomers classify GRB for or short based on whether the event lasts more or less than two seconds.
They observed a long explosion in connection with the death of large stars, while “short burst” was associated with a different scenario, the word notes about the latest discoveries.
Named GRB 200826A, Burst is the subject of two papers published on natural astronomy on Monday.
“We thought this event was effectively fizzle, which almost did not happen at all.
Even so, Burst was emitted by 14 million times the energy issued by the entire Milky Way of Galaxy for the same amount of time, making it one of the most energetic short duration grbs ever seen, “Said Tomas Ahumada, a doctoral student at the University of Maryland and NASA’s Goddard Space Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, who led one of the papers.
DST in his note, quoting NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, said, “When a star is far greater than the sun rises out of the fuel, the point is suddenly collapsed and forms a black hole.
When the material rotates towards the black hole, some of them run Self in the form of two strong jets in a hurry at almost the speed of light in the opposite direction.
Astronomers only detect GRB when one of these jets occurs almost directly to the earth.
