‘Scientists’ Looking for Bride Dupes 14 Women of ₹ 1Cr

Thane: Thane police crime branch has arrested a 29-year-old married man who created a false profile on the matrimonial sites that claimed to be scientists with ISRO and NASA and allegedly deceiving 14 women collectively with the pretext of Rs 1 Crore and the pretext of being married accused of contacting him through Matrimonial site.
He was friends with him but told him that he needed money and asked if he could lend some.
The woman gave her Rs 14.3 lakh and again she asked Rs 25 lakh.
The woman then filed a complaint at the Khadak police station on Kalyan.
The crime branch carries a parallel probe using technical input and human intelligence and gets a tip-off accused of coming to Navi Mumbai to meet with other brides where he was arrested.
The police said that during interrogation, they found that he used the same way to deceive other women outside the state.
Morale said, “The defendant was married and had children.
He was unemployed so he designed this mode of operandi to get fast money.
He will target women, most of it over 30 years old, and will study profound profiles.
Once he gets confidence, He will pose as a man who lives for Imspress and then will captivate the woman into the marriage, ask for money with the pretext of business problems or some financial problems and then deceive them.
“The police have appealed to citizens to be aware of the cheat like that on the site -Situs matrimonial, especially those who ask for money or insist on physical relationships.
