Kolkata: A 13-year-old boy from Garia lost for 16 hours from his college class in the Green Golf area on Monday night, threw his parents to panic and guarding their police to track it.
After the search, the police found class-VIII students in the city of Bishnupur temple in the Bankura district around 1pm.
The boy told the police that he went to his motherly grandmother’s house there after being scolded by a teacher in his college class because he was negligent.
He was afraid that his parents would also scold him after his teacher complained to them.
“So, the boy runs to escape to be scolded by his parents at home,” said an officer.
After the boy was finally found in his grandmother’s house, the police at the Bansdroni Polie Station and Lalbazar sighed relieved when they tried to track it since Monday night.
“We have been told that the boy had booked an application taxi and went to the HOWRA station, where we lost the tower location because he turned off his cellphone or the battery had died.
The boy told us that he had spent the night at the station and climbed into the middle Local on Tuesday morning.
From Midnapore Station, he took the train to Bishnupur, “said a police source.
“We are sure that he has taken a train from Howrah after we talked to several witnesses and traced the taxi driver, who had taken him to the station,” said an investigation officer.
When the search continued, the relatives of the boy who lived outside the city were contacted and instructed to remind their parents and police if and when they found it.
“However, we track it with the help of a source,” said an investigative officer.
The police will advise the boy to ensure that he did not make a similar mistake again.
“There are many examples like that before.
But children, who run away from homes for adventure, are often unaware of the consequences,” said a detective department officer.
