Scoot to continue flights to Singapore immediately

Coimbatore: Scoot Cheap airlines ready to continue flight services to and from Singapore starting December 29.
The aircraft has operated daily flights to Singapore before the Covid-19 outbreak.
Service was suspended in April last year.
Now, flights will be operated three days a week – Sunday, Wednesday and Friday.
Scoot has continued flight services from most other cities in this country.
Recently, airlines have introduced a vaccinated travel route (VTL) for tourists who are fully vaccinated, offering quarantine free entries to Singapore, from a particular city set in this country.
However, flights to be operated from the city are non-VTL.
The airline has explained that this service is intended to travel to Singapore itself and transit will not be permitted.
Ticket agents say this service will primarily be used by business people, guest workers and people who want to meet their friends and family.
“With the threat of omicron soaring big, people will think twice about traveling for recreational activities.” Service will also help encourage cargo movements.
Items that are easily damaged like vegetables and finished goods can be easily sent to Singapore now.
While welcoming flight services, people said it was important for Sri Lankan Airlines to continue service to Colombo.
N Mugüttha Kumar, flight fans, said the city has three international connections before the pandemic.
While flight operations to Sharjah have continued, services to Singapore will immediately restart.
“Srilangan Airlines has continued flight services from other cities such as Chennai, Trichy and Madurai.
We want airline to continue the service from the early city.”
