KANO, Nigeria: Gunmen kidnapped scores of kids via an Islamic seminary in central Nigeria, officials explained that the most recent in a series of such incidents hammering the populous African country.
Some 200 kids were in the college in Niger country on Sunday through the assault, the local authorities tweeted, including”an unspecified quantity” were accepted.
The abduction came a day following 14 pupils from a college from northwestern Nigeria were freed after 40 days .
Niger country police spokesman Wasiu Abiodun reported that the Turks arrived on motorbikes from Tegina city and began shooting , killing a resident and injuring a second, until kidnapping the kids by the Salihu Tanko Islamic faculty.
Among the college’s officers, who asked to not be named, said that the Turks originally took over 100 kids”but afterwards sent those they believed too little for them, people between four and 12 years old”.
The state authorities, in a set of tweets, ” said that the Turks had published 11 of those students who had been”too little and could not walk” really much.
