Ghaziabad: Foreign liquor worth RS four Crore was confiscated during the attack in the warehouse in Moradabad, the district official said on Wednesday.
Sixty Scotch bottles recovered from a man in the Moradabad district during the attack, they said.
Men after the interrogation revealed that he had bought Scotch whiskey confiscated from ‘Warehouse Warehouse’ abroad ‘owned by a man named Kunal Chawla, said Officer Cures RK Singh.
As many as 5240 cartons from various foreign brands were seized in the warehouse in two trucks and cars, he said.
Four men, identified as Raman, Ranvir, Sunil and Lalji, who were present there when the attack had been arrested, Singh told PTI.
He said Chawla, a liquor trader, had sold liquor to prevent payment of customs, causing a “big loss” for the government.
