A Scottish guy who attempted to evade prosecution by visiting the United States, in which he even faked his death in a California shore, was sentenced to 15 years in prison for rape and other sexual crimes, police in Scotland stated.
Kim Avis was found guilty of raping three girls and sexually assaulting a minor after a trial in the High Court in Glasgow, Scotland, a month.
The 57-year-old was convicted of 13 fees linked to sexual offences which happened between 2006 and 2017, and also an extra cost of neglecting to attend a former trial date later that he fled to America, ” the Scotland prosecutor’s office stated.
Avis has been sentenced last week for 12 years in prison for the sexual crimes and three years of failing to show up in a first trial at March 2019.
