Guwahati: Student Union Assam (AASU), an influential student agency, on Friday demanding the clausur scraping in the evaluation criteria formulated by the expert committee for certificates to leave secondary school (class XII) and higher (class XII) exam.
Klausul states that markers and certificates under the new evaluation formula will apply to higher class revenues but does not apply to the work of the state government.
Aasu raised this objection and demanded the scrapping clause a day after education Minister Ranjor Pegu announced the evaluation formula for the trial of the X and XII classrooms on Thursday.
The student’s body warns the state government not to “play with life and future students” with the “absurd” clause such as evaluation criteria.
Union urges the government and the Assam secondary education council (who conducted the class X exam) and Assam High School Educational Council (who conducted class XII exams) to make direct decisions to attract clauses.
Overcoming the media on Friday, President Aasu Dipanka Kumar Nath said, “We have objections to one clause stating that HSLC and HS Marksheets will not be eligible for work but only for acceptance to higher classes and contrary to absurd and contrary to interest Students.
We want the state government to memo this special clause, “he added.
On Thursday, the Ministry of Education Assam announced the evaluation criteria for the exam after the Covid-19 situation that applies to the exam cancellation.
Announced this, the Minister of Education said signs that will be given through a new formula adopted because the pandemic will not apply in the exam for the work of teachers in the Ministry of Education or in the exam for work in the Department of the State Government.
“Given the future test for work, we suggest students to appear in a special board exam to be held later,” he added.
President Aasu said the student’s body did not object to another clause of evaluation criteria.
He urged the government to ensure the future of students who are safe by carrying out other clauses of evaluation criteria.
“The government can regulate the examinations by taking various steps, including an increase in time on time (in February).
However, the exam has been canceled considering the Covid-19 situation that applies and the expert committee has come out with an evaluation formula.
We urge the government to carry out clauses except The clause mentioned above which endangers the interests of students, “said Nath.
He said Aasu would call Himanta’s main minister Ba Sarma and Minister of Education in this matter soon.
