Nagpur: The Indian National Student Delegation (NSUI) on Friday met the Nagpur Regency collector Vimala R and asked him to appeal to the state government to cancel the NEET medical exam.
The delegation cited allegations of irregularities in the behavior of the ‘training class’ exams and culture as the reason for their stand.
Secretary Maharashtra Pradesh Nsui Pratik Kolhe said, “Neet is done to enter medical education courses throughout the country.
However, irregularities occur in the exam that places a big question mark for students.
Also, the course is directed towards the Ncert curriculum, which is slightly different from What is taught at the Affiliate Institute for Maharashtra Board.
“Union said that students from rural areas were unable to come to the city and register in expensive coaching classes.
“Therefore, the dream of students from ordinary families to become doctors is increasingly destroyed.
The Maharashtra government must make decisions such as the Tamil Nadu state, which canceled NEET,” Kolhe said.
Delegates include members of Nsui Ashish Mandape, Nikhil Wankhede, Pranay Singh Thakur, Aniruddha Pandey, Shadaf Sofi, Chetan Meshram, Saurabh Kalmegh, Vidyasagar Tripathi, Profitak Ramteke, Kunal Chaudhary, Pranay Pandre and others.
