Screen time, stress causes headaches between children

Bengaluru: In almost every generation, children complain of headaches to get out of unwanted activities, including classes.
But after a pandemic, headaches have become a real problem because the screen time is extended, stress and a lack of physical effort, the experts said.
Children as young as five or six suffer a recurrent pain.
“There are various types of headaches in pediatric cases: migraines, headaches Type tension and headache cluster.
Ask children the right questions and observe them can help understand whether the child pretends or really hurts,” Dr.
Shivaprakash Salale C, Secretary with the Indian Pediatric Academy, told Stoi.

According to the doctor, headaches are one of the most common manifestations in childhood and that 75 percent of children experience them when they are 15 years old.
Migraine is the most common type among the audience.
Dr.
Kishore Kothha, a child neurologist consultant at the Sparsh Hospital, said that lack of physical activity, increased junk food intake and family history is also a contributing factor.
He added that there was an increase in the incidence of ‘stress headaches’.
“It’s about whether children suffer from repeated headaches for more than two or three months, with an attack that lasts two to 72 hours.
Teenagers have cluster headaches and runny eyes,” he said.
Dr.
Sosale said that the instance was known to increase before the exam.
Dr.
Sanjay KS, Professor of Pediatric and Director of the Children’s Health Institute of Indira Gandhi, explained that the headache the type of tension widespread from the forehead to the temple side.
Dr Rajendra Shinde, said that astigmatism could cause headaches, while Dr.
Sanjay quoted ENT and teeth problems as possible reasons.
The doctors recommend a ‘smart’ approach to overcome conditions: sleep, food with hydration, activity, relaxation, and avoidance triggers.
