Mumbai: Sebi has been banned from the market of Infosys and one more than Wipro for trafficking in the infosys derivative contract around the time of IT Major won a big contract from Viaangard Global Asset Management.
The market regulator has also requested two – Ramit Chaudhri Infosys and Keyur Maniar from Wipro – to refresh illegal profits around Rs 2.6 Crore which was made during July 2020.
Investigations detailed in progress, said Sebi in the report.
The investigation showed Chaudhri, who was on the Infosys team who worked on Vanguard’s agreement, told people about the expected agreement victory.
The latter took the position in the Infosys contract in the F & O segment just a few days before the last announcement on July 14, 2020.
Maniar began a trading position in the infosys contract on July 8 and, in 10 days, producing a profit of Rs 2.6 Crore.
This is possible because the share price of Infosys rose more than 6% for news about Vanguard’s winning agreement.

Probe found that Chaudhri had worked at Wipro and that’s how he knew Maniar.
