Maybe, the charm of a fetish failed to work on Sundays and a priced collection in the 144-year-old Grand Club’s main hall was lost in the flame forever.
Every part of the inheritance in the ballroom room, Colonnade and billiard bars and several club office rooms were reduced to ashes early Sunday morning.
Right from the billiard table to hunt trophies, hanging lamps and warnings of war for sports trophies and wooden furniture to disappeared resimed arms.
None of the missing collections are less than 120 years old.
“Although property losses are estimated to be around 20 crores, heritage and antique values of art and artifacts that are burned into ashes cannot be appreciated,” said inheritance.
According to them, they are very invaluable because they reflect Hyderabad and Secunderabad’s heritage.
But what happens as consolation is that the fire does not touch the library and a mixed lounge where some books and priceless murals are present.
The inheritance tree on campus includes 120 years old peepul and 140-year-old Baobab tree in good condition.
The club built on Tanah Salar Jung in 1878 was one of the five oldest clubs in India.
Before relocation of the club at this time, the campus functions as sojourn for Prime Minister Nizam.
The fire consumes the largest Senimental symbol collection (Secunderabad forces) at any club in India.
Sports trophies including those with Hussainsagar engraved on it are also lost, as well as trophy walls containing crocodile dolls, mountain goats, bison and tiger skin.
The clubhouse main building has won the Intach Heritage Award.
Conach City Convener P Anuradha Reddy told Tii that it was a big loss for Hyderabad and Secunderabad heritage.
