Hyderabad: A girl from a college in Secunderabad alleged that students from the Institute were asked not to enter the place to wear Burqa.
Taking to Twitter, the student said college authorities, taught rehabilitation for different people, asked Muslim girls to come in the saree.
“On February 5, we were told verbally that we would no longer be allowed to wear a burqa or headscarf on campus.
Instead, we were told that female students only had to wear sarees,” the girl, who created a Twitter account and identified itself as Fatima to make The original identity, to Ti.
“We were asked not to follow our religious practices on campus,” Fatima said.
“Add to this, we are specifically asked to” check “the checklook list of dresses before joining campus.” He tweeted, seeking help from Amjad Ullah Khan, spokesman for Majlis Bachao Tehreek, a Muslim group.
“I haven’t filed a police complaint because my intention is to let people know what’s happening here,” Fatima added.
