Nagpur: Some senior inspectors and staff at the police station were studied to get the wrath of the City Police Chief (CP) Amitesh Kumar after anonymous citizens told him about alleged malpractice through secret letters.
The letters were studied to trigger a series of strict actions and warnings from the top police.
Kumar, who also learned to send the ‘bait’ to examine corruption, has managed to maintain the action of the State Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) against the city police to a minimum of last year.
In 2021, 15 police were trapped from various parts of the six East Vidarbha District by ACB countries, including only one from the city of Nagpur.
Sources say there recently became a busy secret letter that landed at the CP office, told him about the evil activities of several police posted in different units – especially police stations – including them being handheld and gangsters, and other illegal activities that were not checked .
The sender, generally local or social workers, studied to hold back not to identify themselves, fear the future of the future from the police about whom they have told CP.
While most CPS in the past has destroyed such letters, Kumar gets the content of each letter verified carefully.
The source said Kumar tried to examine letters personally before calling the personnel concerned for clarification.
Repeated accusations have caused strict steps by Kumar, regardless of the warning.
When asked about the truth of the confidential letter content, Kumar said he used his experience in serving in various places as CP (Amravati and Aurangabad) and police supervisors, despite becoming the Head of the State Intelligence, to measure the gravitation of these charges.
