Nagpur: NCP Leader Jwala Dhote Lambi City Police Chief (CP) Amitesh Kumar and Lakadanjan Police on Saturday because claiming to have found a room and a hidden tunnel in Ganga Jamuna.
During the press conference, Dhote led the action label as a “funny drama”.
The NCP leader said the tunnel and rooms like that generally have entry points and exit, which did not happen to Ganges Jamuna.
“Some of the buildings that are sealed for the convenience are described as hidden rooms and tunnels, which are drilled from the wall by the police.
All these dramas are to distract the High Court and the media,” said Dhote, who has struggled for the rights of sex workers in Ganges Jamuna since CP Kumar banned the gender in the Red-Light area on August 11 on August 11.
Dbote says that CP does not have the power to declare certain buildings as a ‘public place’ to ban sex work.
“Without the corporation of the city of Nagpur or legislative involvement of the state, it was questioned how the police unilaterally stated them as a public place,” he said.
Dhote added that he prepared to take the police department before the High Court on the problem of violating basic and human rights.
