Beirut: Six Shiites were shot dead in Beirut on Thursday, in an attack on supporters of Hezbollah and a Lebanese partner who gathered to demand the elimination of judges who investigated the ports explosion which destroyed last year.
The shooting, which took place at the front line of the 1975-90 Lebanon civil war and raised a scene that reminded the conflict, marked the deadliest civil violence in Beirut since 2008.
This also highlighted the deep crisis of the investigation into a August 2020 explosion underestimating the government’s efforts to Overcoming the economic crisis.
