Noida: District police have increased security after Intel about the possibility of a terror attack in Delhi-NCR ahead of the Republican Day.
They have also intensified inspections in each border point, guest houses, hotels and other places in this district.
The move was taken after talks with Delhi police, who have received information from intelligence agencies about the possibility of terror plots and threats for the Prime Minister and other officials ahead of the Republican Day celebration on January 26.
“Security checks have been estimated at 9 border points in all districts.
We scan almost every vehicle entering the city and looking for suspicious activities,” Ranvijay Singh, Deputy Police Commissioner (AD.DCP-Noida) said.
Furthermore, it added that this has also been done by considering the upcoming things of the election in the state.
A total of 9,000 Uttar Pradesh police personnel and home keepers, together with 34 paramilitary forces companies have been deployed in Gautam Budh Nagar for the election of the Assembly.
“Regardless of the border with other districts, our team continues to visit a guest house, hotel and even the market.
The district police chief also patrols with armed personnel and station house officers have been directed to talk to local people who ask them to defend the law and Order in their respective regions and notify the police about all suspicious activities, “Ranvijay said.
