MEERUT: The Meerut City Railway Station Supervisor has received a bomb explosion that threatens a letter at the train station and the temple in the nine districts, including Meerut, in front of Uttar Pradesh’s visit to the Yogi Adtityanath Minister to the city on November 11.
Security was tightened in all train stations even though the police believed it became a trick.
DSP Train Police DSP Sudesh Kumar Gupta said the letter was received on Tuesday and a case was registered against unknown people in the relevant part of the GRP police station.
Gupta said Prima Facie, it looks like a trick.
A similar letter was also received by the Office of the Rain Train Station Supervisor on October 30, after a thorough examination was held at the station.
Station Inspector RP Singh said the letter threatened the bomb in many temples and train stations in nine districts, including Meerut, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Muzaffarnagar, Aligarh, Khurja, Kanpur, Lucknow and Shahjahanpur.
Considering the proposed visit from the minister’s chairman to Meerut on Thursday, the police government has increased Vigil, police supervisor (city), Bhatnagar said.
