NEW DELHI:”A 40-year-old guy was detained for allegedly impersonating a military officer to impress girls on social networking,” authorities said Saturday.” The accused, Dilip Kumar, a resident of Sainik Enclave, Mohan Gardenand functions as a security guard in a college,” they stated.
“On Friday about 3 pm, the accused had been detained close to Archana Red Light, Greater Kailash 1,” he said, adding that he had been in the region to satisfy a date.
“He had been in military uniform.
1 bogus army ID card along with a single cell phone were captured in him,” deputy commissioner of police (DCP), South, Atul Kumar Thakur stated.
The accused told authorities he introduced as Captain Shekhar of the Army to impress girls on social networking.
“On evaluation of the cell telephone, it was discovered that he had been a part of many WhatsApp classes and’d forced movie calls for international numbers also,” the DCP said, including his connections overseas were examined.
A case under applicable portions of the law was filed against him.
