Mumbai: Security was upgraded outside the residence of the lyrics of Jawn Akhtar in Mumbai on Monday after Maharashtra BJP MLA demanded apologies from him for his words where he allegedly compare RSB with the Taliban, a police officer said.
Adequate police bandobast placed outside the residence of Akhtar near the Iskcon Temple in the Juhu region, the official said, adding that security personnel, including police women, were deployed outside the lyrical house.
Akhtar recently told the news channel that the right wing around the world has extraordinary similarities.
“The Taliban wants an Islamic state.
These people want to make Hindu Rashtra,” said the Lirisis without naming Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
BJP MLA and spokesman for the Kadam Ram State Party condemned Akhtar’s words.
Legislators from Mumbai said no film involving Akhtar would be allowed to be screened in the country until he apologized to the Sangh officials on his comments.
Sena Shiv, who shared power with NCP and Congress in Maharashtra, on Monday said Akhtar “was truly wrong” in comparing RSS with the Taliban.
“How can you tell those who support the concept of Rashtra Hinduism is a Talibani mindset? We disagree with this,” Editorial said in Mouthpiece Sena ‘Saamana’.
