New Delhi: Security in all the seven District Courts in the National Capital City will now be guarded by the Delhi Polda security unit along with central military forces (CPMF) instead of local police, Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana.
At present, local police staff are deployed for security measures in the district court.
However, after the order recently, all district police staff were deployed to have been asked to report back to their respective police station.
“Regarding the security of the seven district courts, the Delhi Police Commissioner has directed that district police staff detailed in the district court must report to their respective districts,” the Order said.
“The Delhi police security unit along with CPMF must take over the security of all district courts is preferred before Friday.” In the order of September 28, signed by ID Shukla, special CP protective security division, security audit reports must be prepared immediately and submitted.
“All transfers must be relieved immediately,” read orders.
Recently, a Gangster Delhi who was feared by Jitender Maan aka Gogi was shot dead in a court room where he had to be produced for hearings.
The shootout was allegedly planned by his rival and gangsters who were imprisoned by Sunil Tajpuria aka Tillu.
After brass over the Delhi police have taken a stock of situations in various court complexes.
Some steps are applied, such as only vehicles with stickers and those who have an identity card will be allowed to enter.
Apart from this, the police recently conducted an examination to see if all equipment relates to security such as metal detectors and even metal detectors doors frame in working conditions.
