AIADMK has condemned the withdrawal of police protection given to former Law Minister C Ve Shanmugam.
In a statement on Sunday, the coordinator with Aiadmk Edappadi K Palaniswami said that there was a threat to Shanmugam from his rival and if he was attacked, the DMK government must be responsible for saying that Shanmugam’s political rivals scolded him in 2006 to attack him.
Even though Shanmugam fled, a AIADMK cadre named Muruganantham was killed.
Since then, Shanmugam is provided with security all the time of armed police.
