New York: Bald qualification Van de Zandschulk sent Norway Seed Eighth Casper Ruud Packing 3-6, 6-4, 6-3, 6-4 in the second half of the US Open on Wednesday, in the biggest annoyed tournament so far most of the lot to the script.
Ruud overcame the initial break to win the first set when Van De Zandschulp struggled to get his first service but left without an answer because the Dutch found his shape and deflected all six opportunities to rest in third.
Van de Zandschulpus remained calm in the outside court even when his racket flew out of his hand when he served late in the last match, waving into a crowd of meadows which rinsed after winning the infidelity with a backhand winner.
Ruud is the highest seeded player to get out of meadowy this year, because most favorites won at the National Tennis Center Billie Jean King for the first three days of this year’s department.
Also out of the tournament was the 15th seed Grigor Bulgaria Dimitrov, who retired with an injury while trailing Australia Alexei Popyrin 7-6 (4), 7-6 (4), 4-0.
