Last month, OPPO announced memory expansion technology (RAM) which allowed OPPO smartphone customers to virtually increase their RAM capacity.
This feature was first announced in Singapore and now, the company expanded features to the Middle East and African regions as well.
The memory expansion feature on the Oppo device functions by taking several onboard storage parts (ROM) and turning it into virtual RAM.
Simply put, if the smartphone has 8GB RAM, users can allocate more RAM to use this feature.
Even though the set limit to 7GB can be used as a virtual memory by the user.
Virtual RAM features will help users improve the performance of their smartphones with margins and that also without the need for additional hardware or technical knowledge, but temporarily.
According to the report, users will get three levels of adjustment for this.
Users first have to update their smartphone with the latest updates and then head to settings -> about the phone to allocate virtual memory from storage and restart their devices.
This feature will be launched with updates in June 2021 and currently supported at Oppo A94, Oppo A74 and Oppo Reno 5 Smartphones.
