Panaji: denying claims by the BJP selection of Research Devendra Fadnavis, Senior Congress MLA Pratapsingh Rane said he had not proposed the name of the mother-in-law and Minister of Health Wife Vishwajit Rane, Deviya, for BJP Ticks for the Poriem Constitution.
“No no.
I have not proposed anything.
It was only his social visit (Fadnivis) because my child happened to be at BJP,” Rane told Ti.
After the first list of 34 candidates stated by the BJP, which displays the name Deviya for the Poriem constituency, Fadniv said that Rane senior has approved the proposal by the BJP to provide a Poriem seat, and have proposed the name Deviya for elections.
The BJP government recently stated the status of the cabinet for life to Rane.
Referring to Fadnivis’s visit, Rane said, “There was no political talk at all.
After that, (Senior Congress functionary) Chidambaram also came.
Fadnavis came with a photographer and photographed us.
Everyone was accepted because I was a public person.
He can come and Meet me, but that doesn’t mean I will jump like a monkey from one place to another.
“Rane said Fadnavis had never responded to the former idea out of Fray’s election in the Poriem constituency.
“He made a social call and as a civilized person, I greeted him to my house,” Rane said.
Senior Congress members said he had not yet decided whether he would oppose the election of assembly.
Congress has chosen Rane for Poriem’s seat, but has left him to make a final decision.
The Goa Congress table responsible for Dinesh Gundu Rao criticized BJP, especially Fadnavis, for trying to spread rumors about Rane.
“It is very unfortunate that BJP connects falsehood to highly respected personality, Pratapsingh Rane.
He has fought BJP throughout his life and implies that he supports them truly insulting.
