PANAJI: While promising to “invest strategically” in the health sector and state education, TMC also said that the direct focus was to end the “health service privatization” trend in Goa.
TMC officials said that to provide quality health services in the state, the party will increase the budget allocation from 1.35% to 2.75%.
The party also said that it would increase budget expenditure for education from 2.39% to 6%.
“Our direct focus is to end the BJP agenda to privatize health services,” said TMC Vice President Rajendra Kakodkar.
The party said that the pandemic had destroyed the lives of the community and state health services infrastructure.
“People lose their loved ones because of the failure of the BJP government.
Too bad that CM Pramod Sawant failed to provide oxygen cylinders in time,” said President Wing Wing TMC Mahila Bandodkar.
He said that doubling allocations for the health care sector budget from 1.35% to 2.75% would increase overall health infrastructure.
TMC candidate Mormagao Jayesh Shethgaonkar said that because of students “pathetic internet connectivity” lost in important years, exams and opportunities.
“We will not let students suffer again.
Our government schools will be increased to digital classrooms and all students will be allowed to travel for free on public buses,” he said.
Meanwhile, in Sanguem, 25 AAP workers joined TMC.
The party also triggered new members in Cumbharjua and the Constituency of Aldona, which the party expected would give encouragement to its candidates Samil Volvoikar and Kiran Kandolkar.
