New Delhi: Utpal Parragar, the son of the former Head of the Minister of Goa late Manohar Parragar, will file a nominated paper for the Panaji assembly chair on Thursday.
Utpal was rejected by a ticket by BJP for chairs.
Utpal has resigned from BJP’s main membership last week after the party announced the Monserrate “Babush” Field of the Panaji seat.
Utpal Patrikar then announced that he would oppose the election of the coming Goa from the Panaji seat as an independent candidate.
“I will fight as an independent candidate from the Panaji Constituency.
Panjim people choose Mansohar Parragar for years because he stands for certain values.
I also have those values in me.
The time has come to those values ., “Utpal said.
After the BJP Snub, Chief Aam Aadmi Party, Arvind Kejriwal has offered a Utpal field from Panaji on his party ticket.
Shiv Sena has also announced support for him.
BJP, in its part, claimed that the party had offered two Utpal alternative seats, which he did not accept.
