PANAJI: Suspense of the Minister of Arts and Culture Government Election Guude finally ended on Tuesday with Himinining BJP after stopping as minister and MLA.
He will oppose the election of the upcoming assembly of the Pirol constituency.
After facing the strong opposition from the BJP Mandal Pirol for his combination, Gaude held a marathon meeting with his supporters before making a final decision to join BJP.
Gaude supporters advised him to join BJP considering his political future.
“Even if I have to compete as independent, I will win the election,” said Gaude, added that he had not entered the terms and conditions to join BJP.
BJP Pirol Mandal threatens the party that it will establish an independent candidate to defeat Gaude.
“I have no problem if they oppose independently of me.
In democracy everyone has the right to fight for the election,” said Gaude.
He said that in the priol, he always gave BJP workers who were respected first and then their workers.
“In 2017, they (BJP Priol Karyakartas) did not support me.
It won’t affect me.” Gaude and his supporters joined BJP before the Chairman of the Pramod Sawant Minister, State President of BJP Sadanand Shet Tanavade, the Selection of BJP Goa in Charge Devendra Fadnivis.
BJP has invited Gaude to join BJP and Gaude himself declared interest in joining if given a party ticket.
In 2017, BJP has supported Gaude as an independent candidate and he has defeated the President of MGP Pandurang ‘Deepak’ Dhavalikar.
“It is my responsibility to get the maximum number of candidates chosen (for BJP) and my contribution will be there to form the next BJP government in the state,” said Gaude.
He said he was connected with people directly from Pernem to Canacona and Sattari to Mormugao.
“I want this tree (BJP) to grow and that’s the reason I joined BJP,” he said.
Sawant welcomed Gaude and his supporters to a fold party.
“With Gaude join BJP, we are sure we will secure the priol seat for BJP.
Gaude will also travel across the country to campaign for BJP and we believe that we will be more than 22 seats,” Sawant Said Gaude has joined active politics in the year 1994 When he supported BJP Mackai candidate.
In 1999, he has supported MGP candidates, Ramkrishna ‘Sudin’ Dhavalikar in Madkai.
After that, he joined the Congress and opposed the 2007 Assembly election from Madkai on a party ticket.
During the following assembly poll, in 2012, Gaude was contested from the constituency of the priol in which he fought against candidates for the BJP-MGP alliance Pandurang ‘Deepak’ and lost.
