Panaji: Congress on Tuesday announced that Rahul Gandhi had delayed his visit to Goa from February 2 to February 4 because of his parliamentary commitment.
The ongoing budget session and Gandhi will present their views on the budget in parliament on February 2, spokesman for all Indian Congress Committee (AICC) Alka Lamba told reporters.
“We have decided to postpone his Goa’s visit.
Secondly, he will visit Chhattisgarh on February 3 to attend various programs,” said Lamba.
During his goa visit, Gandhi will interact with representatives from the tourism sector, Anganwadi workers and others.
In addition, he will discuss workers’ meetings and guide Congress candidates for the election of Goa’s february 14 assembly.
This will be the second visit of Gandhi to Goa since the canvas for the assembly selection selected a step a few months ago.
During a one day visit in October last year, he had discussed public meetings and connected with the local community.
Of the 40 constituencies, Congress was fighting in 37 while alliance partners, GFP, will compete in the remaining three.
