Lucknow: BSP Mayawati President on Saturday released a second list of 51 candidates for constituencies to conduct polls in the second phase of the assembly selection of Uttar Pradesh.
According to the source of the party, the candidates stated that they covered 23 from the Muslim community and 10 of the scheduled caste.
55 seats will go to voting in the second phase on February 14.
The list of BSP contains candidates for seats in Saharanpur, Bijnor, Moradabad, Sambhal, Rampur, Amroha, Badaun, Bareilly and Shahjahanpur.
Mayawati also released a new slogan ‘Harh Pollo Booth Jitana Hai, BSP Ko Satta Mein Lana Hai.’ Removing a list of names, President BSP appealed to his party workers to take part in the Covid-19 protocol issued by the Election Commission while working for the candidate’s victory to realize the dream of B.R Ambedkar and the founder of the Kanshi Party RAM.
“BSP is fighting alone and Uttarkhand with full strength and preparation but in Punjab it has formed an alliance with Akali Dal.
I have full confidence that our parties will get good results in these two states and the alliance will perform well in this punjab,” he said.
The first list of candidates for the Bahujan Party was released on January 15.
Seven phase polls at Uttar Pradesh will begin on February 10 and continue until March 7 and the results will be stated on March 10.
