New Delhi: The equity index jumped in opening trading on Monday with BSE Sensex benchmarks up more than 400 positive amid positive global cues.
The 30-share BSE index jumped 411 points or 0.74 percent and traded at 55,740.
While the wider NIFTY NSE rose 109 points or 0.66 percent at 16,560.
The top winners in the sensex package include HCl Tech Tech Mahindra, TCS, Tata Steel, Infosys, Bajaj Finance and Bajaj Fincerv with their shares up 4.23 percent.
While PowerGrid, Bajaj Auto, M & M, Hul and NTPC are the top losers falling to 1.26 percent.
Cadila Healthcare surged almost 8% after the covid-19 vaccine drug maker drug was approved for emergency use by the country.
